Week 4 Update - 2025

With Week 4 in the books, the playoff picture is starting to take shape—and it’s getting crowded at the top.

Hambone Heroes hold the #1 seed with 15 points, but Tiger Daddies, Spare Parts, Mustache Bandits, and Bowling for Soup are all lurking just behind.

Marco Bowlo (7 pts) and Who Do You Think You Are? I am! (7 pts) are on the bubble, sitting in a tie for sixth. The Bowling Stones, at 5 points, are still within striking distance—but they’ll need a BIG week 5 to claw back into the top six. With just one week left before the finals, the pressure is officially on!

Here's the recap from Wednesday's week 4 matchups:

Bowling for Soup goes to the Moon with a Victory Over the Bowling Stones

No one in the league was hotter this week than Nolan Moon, who turned in a dominant performance to lead Bowling for Soup to a 5–0 win over the Bowling Stones. Moon finished with a league-best 460 net and 310 scratch, including two games over 150. He looked nearly untouchable on the lanes, earning Week 4 MVP honors. Congrats, Nolan!

Moon was supported by steady contributions from Carter Huff (382 net) and Julia Scott (394 net), while the Stones were paced by Kristen Cardon (405) and Liz Lauzon (388) in the loss. The win moved Bowling for Soup into a tie for second in the standings.

Tiger Daddies Make Scratch History, Roll Over Marco Bowlo

In perhaps the most impressive team performance of the season, the Tiger Daddies dropped a 905 scratch in Game 1, the second-highest scratch game in league history! Yes, history. Their 2035 total net pins earned them a convincing 5–0 sweep of Marco Bowlo.

The effort was balanced across the roster. Lawson Clarke led the way with a 433 net, followed by Mike Lawson (406), Jude Senese (408), and Rafael Feliz (399). Every bowler for the Daddies broke 380 net on the night.

Marco Bowlo was led by Jeremy Strege (428 net) and Mike Schilling (391), but couldn’t keep pace with the Daddies' high-octane opening. Anyone play cards? This is what you call a BAD BEAT. Sheesh.

Spare Parts Outlast Who Do You Think You Are? I AM!

It was a scrappy affair between two tough rosters, but Spare Parts walked away with a 5–0 victory. Was it a good night for the Spare Parts? Eh, not exactly by their standards.. but it was enough to get the job done.

Pat Kelleher delivered the high series for Spare Parts with a 419 net, while Kevin O’Sullivan and Joe Carter chipped in with 361 and 383, respectively. For Who Do You Think You Are? I am, It was Anya Spirito (384 net) who kept them in striking distance, but unfortunately, they came up short.

Mustache Bandits Edge Hambone Heroes in Tight Match

In the night’s most competitive matchup, the Mustache Bandits edged the Hambone Heroes, 3–2, in a game that felt more like a playoff preview than a midseason matchup.

Mike Grasela came up big for the Bandits, rolling a 412 net, with support from Seth Babin (386) and Kevin Boyle (393). The Heroes kept it close behind Brian Kokernak (403) and Mike Connolly (397), but couldn’t pull out the total pin win, falling just short with 1900 to the Bandits’ 1910.

10 pins! Damn. I'm sure Krishna is losing sleep thinking about those four ONE-PIN spares he left out there in game 2... Ouch. But I'm sure it was the lane's fault, right?
