Week 3 Update - 2024

What’s up, friends?

Another successful bowling week! The season is zooming by with only 2 more regular season nights left to go. Here’s a quick update from the week 3 matchups.

First, let’s talk about Split Happens' record-setting performance. It's no secret that the first few weeks can be tough for a new team in the league, but Split Happens sure turned it around against Pinhead Larrys in a 5-0 sweep. Their game 1 total of 1426 (before dropping a score) set a new league record for the highest single-game team net score. But they weren’t done yet. They set a new record for a combined two-game net score as well! Jonathan Tonis once again showcased his MVP prowess for the second week in a row, rolling +104 pins above his average. Jonathan, maybe it’s time to give someone else a turn 😊. Honorable mention goes to Hayley Harrison, who trailed closely behind with a net score of 480.

RECORD BOOK

Who’s your daddy? The Tiger Daddies. This time it was Justin Galvin and Lawson Clarke leading the charge in yet another dominating 5-0 win. Joe Carter of 9s or Die put up a hell of a fight with a turkey and a net 482.. but it wasn’t enough. Can anyone stop these guys? Oh right.. their handicaps can.

Who Do You Think You Are I AM gave the business to Marco Bowlo. Even Chuck Woodard's game 2 Hambone (4 strikes in a row) wasn’t enough to get a win. Anya Spirito’s net scores of 230, 228 and Maeve Mudie’s 203, 257 could not be stopped. Maeve – I don’t want to hear any more “I suck at bowling” talk, ok? You just rolled a scratch 132 for crying out loud! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

The Bowling Stones took their first loss of the season against Bowl Movements in a tight 3-2 match. Glennon Montgomery came up big yet again with net scores of 231 and 248 moving him to the top of the league MVP race! The BMs will face off in a battle of the MVPs next week against a red-hot Split Happens.

Hambone Heroes took 3 points off of Mustache Bandits thanks to the 2023 Rookie of the Year, Mike Connolly's net total of 457. The Heroes now have 6 total points and sit in 7th place. They will attempt to move further up the standings next week when they face off against 9s or Die.

Congrats to our week 3 additions to the Turkey Club. And a special shout out to Sean Westgate on his 2nd Turkey of the season. You can only get in once, bro!
